Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes what you may and may not do with the GrooveID Service. It applies to all users and is incorporated into the Terms of Service. Violations may result in immediate account suspension or termination.

Permitted uses

You may use the Service to:

• Upload audio you own or have a valid licence to process, and identify audio snippets against it.
• Build applications for broadcast monitoring, content recognition, DJ tools, karaoke, education, games, or other lawful purposes.
• Integrate the SDK or REST API into your product or service.
• Evaluate the Service for commercial use during a free-tier trial.

Prohibited uses

You may not use the Service to:

Copyright and intellectual property

• Upload, store, or process audio that you do not have the legal right to use in this manner.
• Redistribute, republish, or resell audio fingerprints or recognition results in a way that circumvents copyright protection.
• Build a service that enables third parties to infringe copyright using GrooveID infrastructure.

Illegal content

• Upload or process audio that contains or is used to facilitate child sexual abuse material (CSAM), content that incites violence, hate speech, or any other content that is illegal in your jurisdiction or the jurisdictions of people who may be affected by it.
• Use the Service in connection with any unlawful activity, including fraud, harassment, or stalking.

Abuse and interference

• Attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service or circumvent security controls.
• Deliberately exceed rate limits using multiple accounts, key rotation, or other circumvention methods.
• Launch denial-of-service attacks or otherwise disrupt the Service for other users.
• Use automated scripts or bots to create accounts in bulk.

Misrepresentation

• Impersonate GrooveID or claim official affiliation to deceive third parties.
• Provide false information during account registration.

Reporting violations

If you believe someone is using GrooveID in violation of this policy, please report it to [email protected]. We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly.

Enforcement

We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations and, at our discretion, remove content, suspend access, terminate accounts, and report illegal activity to appropriate authorities. We are not obligated to monitor all use of the Service but may do so to enforce this policy.
